On a glorious sunny day in London, we had the immense privilege of photographing Sam & Nathalie’s wedding at the Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond on Thames following their wedding ceremony in Chelsea.

The beautiful riverside setting and charm make the Bingham Riverhouse a perfect setting for their London wedding photos and we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this exceptional venue.

Hair, Make-Up & Sandwiches!

The morning was very relaxed as Nathalie and her family were getting ready together in her and Sam’s home in Chelsea. Hair and make-up were done and at the request of the groom, some sandwiches made for their journey on the way to the Bingham Riverhouse – ingenious idea!

A little time before the ceremony, Sam and the groomsmen came across to Chelsea for the ceremony. The church was just around the corner from Sam and Nathalie’s home and was starting to fill with guests as Nathalie was helped into her elegant Temperley London wedding dress by her mum.

Wedding Ceremony at St. Andew’s in Chelsea

At St. Andrew’s, Sam was waiting for the arrival of his bride and after a very short car journey for Nathalie and her sister, the wait was over.

Walking in with her proud father, Nathalie came down the aisle towards Sam and the ceremony began. Readings from close family and friends and solemn vows made the ceremony complete and sealed with a kiss, the new Mr & Mrs walked up the aisle as husband and wife.

All Aboard!

After being covered in confetti rose petals, Sam and Nathalie made their way to Richmond for the reception at the Bingham. Everyone else headed a little further up the road outside St. Andrew’s to board the two vintage London buses the bride and groom had provided to transport them to the Bingham. Laura joined some of the family and guests on one of the buses to capture the journey through the London streets.

Wedding at the Bingham Riverhouse

Champagne and canapés were being enjoyed and the chatter and laughter of the guests filled the terrace and gardens at the Bingham. This part of the day is our favourite for capturing people being themselves and we strive to blend is so nobody gets too camera shy, though we get spotted sometimes! The atmosphere at Sam and Nathalie’s wedding leant itself to the peaceful surroundings with the Thames running along the bottom of the garden and the relaxed and intimate feeling this venue has. After some family photographs, we took Sam and Nathalie for some portraits while the guests were seated for the wedding breakfast.

Speeches were followed by delicious food and wine served by the faultless team at the Bingham Riverhouse and was enjoyed by all. Some post-dinner entertainment provided by one of the best magicians we’ve seen kept guests entertained and astounded!

As the sun was setting over the river, the guests enjoyed the warm summer evening with coffees on the terrace before the cake was cut and the dancing could begin.

Caricatures and Conifers!

Sam and Nathalie had arranged for a superbly talented caricature to draw their guests throughout the evening. Seeing their reactions to the finished drawing was our favourite part! They were all brilliant.

With a slight change of plan to the evening, the outdoor photo booth with no props, just conifer twigs and the occasional crazy-face pose, went down a treat and we had such fun! Leaving a filled dance floor and some guests enjoying a generous slab of the red velvet wedding cake, we said our goodbyes.

A massive thank you to Sam, Nathalie and their families for making us feel so welcome from the first moment right to the last. Please enjoy the photos below of their Bingham Riverhouse wedding.
