This is the wonderful wedding of Bethan & John at Stanley House. Bethan & John’s Stanley House wedding was one we had been extra looking forward to! We first met them at Rhian & Pete’s Rudding Park wedding last year and hit it off straight away! Bethan was Rhian’s bridesmaid and this time for her wedding, Rhian was returning the favour. Needless to say, it was lovely to catch up with some familiar faces. Add the glorious sunshine, great atmosphere and contagious laughter that continued all day (not solely aimed at Bethan’s adorable dad singing his mock-up audition for Gary Barlow during the speeches – what a guy!) Today was a good day!
We arrived at Stanley House nice and early to have a walk through the grounds to spy out some areas for later photographs. This is something we love to do at venues that are new to us so we can choose the best areas and save precious time after the ceremony capturing everyone having fun.
It was a beautiful day! As the amazing team from Creative Cover Hire dressed the venue, we made our way to meet up with Bethan, her bridesmaids and mum. We also had the privilege of working alongside the super lovely ‘The Hair & Make Up Lady’ aka Kelly, who was making up and perfecting all of the ladies looks for the day.
We took to photographing all of the bridal details before Tobiah headed over to see John and the boys. Cue major shoe envy: Bethan had picked a pair of the very iconic Valentino rock stud heels for her wedding shoes and also the most gorgeous metallic mini Mulberry bag.
Tobiah caught up with John at Samlesbury Hotel just a few miles away. As the lads were getting suited and booted, Laura stayed with the girls. John had put together the sweetest gift box for his bride to be and certainly knocked ‘wedding day present’ out of the park (the most gorgeous Chanel wallet on a chain!) After a few tears from Bethan’s sister, Amy, the bridesmaids opened their presents and cards from Bethan before getting in their dresses. Complimented perfectly by the matching Tiffany bracelets Bethan had bought them.
It was soon time to head off to the church! But not before the bridesmaids and mum helped Bethan into her beautiful dress.
The awesome Gospel Touch choir were unreal at the church and after a beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to their guests clapping and singing along to “Oh! Happy Day!”
After being showered by confetti, the new Mr & Mrs Gregory headed off to Stanley House were the celebrations continued in the sunshine. More amazing music from Gospel Touch choir was enjoyed as the champagne flowed. We stole Bethan and John away for a few portraits before taking a few family photographs. It was then time to be seated for the wedding breakfast. Guests found their seats from the seating plans hanging from a giant blossom tree at the bottom of the stairs and made their way up to the top floor. This is where the talents of the Creative Cover Hire were really shown! They had decorated the wedding breakfast room beautifully including a giant flower wall behind the head table!
Speeches followed the meal and Phil, Bethan’s dad, certainly stole the show! Having had secret singing lessons he sang at the end of his speech which was really sweet. Once John and the best man had followed, everybody headed back out downstairs before the evening reception was ready to begin.
The awesome Flip band kept everyone on the dance floor! If you’re looking for a band that’s a little different but hugely energetic and talented then look no further!
We said our goodbyes and left behind a packed dance floor and room filled with the nicest and most fun-loving crowd ever! It was a joy to be a part of the Stanley House wedding of Bethan & John. Congratulations!
