From first meeting with S & J we laughed and chatted for ages about so many different things! Of course we heard about their plans and hopes for their Sandhole Oak Barn wedding in Cheshire and so we were so happy when they asked to photograph it!
Our day began on a chilly morning in Cheshire, S and her best girls were getting ready all together with the assistance of the lovely Anastasia, who works for Bobby Brown, and on hair there was Lucy Loo-Clows of Hair By Lucy assisted by Georgia Bennett. Additionally, we enjoyed the company of S’s fabulous bridesmaids who had us laughing all morning! It was great fun to share the day with two of our favourite wedding people too! Pete and Laura of Lawson Films were along for the ride too. They always do such an awesome job and are two of the very nicest and easiest people to be around – a must on your wedding day.
Tobiah headed off to see what the boys were up to and capture them getting ready and Laura stayed with the girls.
S & J had mentioned how important family was to them. When we later arrived at the church for the ceremony this was clear to see. It was also very obvious that they both meant a great deal to all of them too. Our groom was being used as a human climbing frame by his nephews when we arrived at the church. It was certainly one way to distract J from any pre-ceremony nerves which are hard to focus on with little people in suits trying to twist your nose off your face!
Our beautiful bride arrived in style in a vintage car following her bridesmaids. Time for the ceremony to begin! With heartfelt vows and the most enchanting reading of ‘If’ by Ruyard Kipling by J’s grandfather, everything went perfectly and it was put into the chilly air for lots of hugs and kisses from congratulating guests! After confetti throwing, a few family photographs and some portraits of the brand new newlyweds, it was time to head over to Sandhole Oak Barn. Welcomed by the lovely Top Table team with drinks and canapés, the guests enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and the dreamy sounds of the piano during the reception before the wedding breakfast began.
The speeches followed a delicious wedding breakfast, with lots of laughter and lovely stories, a few embarrassing ones from the best man, naturally! With the only thing remaining to dance the night away, after a few photographs on the dance floor we left the happy couple and their family and friends enjoying the band and street food in the tents outside. Thank you to S & J for choosing us to be your Cheshire wedding photographers. We had a blast!
