This is the marvellous wedding of Rosie and Pete! These two lovely people may seem familiar as Rosie was a bridesmaid for the equally lovely Eleanor & Craig’s wedding last year in Prestbury. But today was the day they tied the knot at the forever beautiful Iscoyd Park in Shropshire.
We feel very blessed that so many fabulous couples have chosen us to photograph their Iscoyd Park weddings, it’s always a treat to come here (and see our favourites Charlie, Jen & Will, to name a few! These are the glue who help so much to make Iscoyd what it is).
The sun was shining as we rolled up the drive towards the house excited to head in to see Rosie and her bridesmaids who were getting ready in the bridal suite. We made our way up the stairs, following the sound of chatter and laughter to find the ladies, all in colourful, floral robes, getting ready together.
It was a pleasure as always to work alongside the hair queen, Vicky M Hair and a delight to meet Sarah Dunn on make-up. The deep fuchsia bridesmaids dresses were hanging looking super pretty but the show-stopper of course was Rosie’s Suzanne Neville gown. We took the wedding dress across to the library (which is always a military operation so no-one sneaks a peek!) We then photographed the rest of the details before Tobiah went to catch up with the gents down at Laundry Cottage.
Pete and his groomsmen were in the midst of getting ready when Tobiah arrived. For some it was a three piece suit, shirt and tie outfit but for others, including the groom, it was full RAF dress uniform.
Once the guys were ready it was time for a Sword Party practise run and a port before they headed to the front of the house to greet the guests.
Back with the ladies, Laura was snapping the final touches of the getting ready. Soon the bridesmaids were in their elegant floor length dresses and ready and waiting for the bride. Rosie’s mum Kate and sister Emma helped her into her beautiful wedding dress. Excitement built as the buzz of the guests downstairs carried up the staircase. There was enough time for a few portraits of the bridesmaids together and Rosie before the ceremony. We didn’t spend too long as Rosie’s dad was keenly waiting for his daughter at the bottom of the staircase.
Meanwhile, Pete was in the Garden Room with all of their guests anticipating the arrival of the bride! The sunshine was filling the ceremony room as Rosie followed her bridesmaids in for the ceremony. Rosie’s brother played a Ludvico Einaudi piece on the piano as his sister walked down the aisle which was a really lovely touch.
After readings, exchanging vows and promises the ceremony was complete! Time for the drinks reception at the back of the house in the gardens. Rosie and Pete spent a few minutes in the Drawing Room while the rest of the guests collected confetti from buckets carried by a few little helpers and champagne from the Fine Dining Company team.
The sword party were in place and with guests armed with rose petals, Rosie and Pete exited into the gardens for the drinks reception to begin.
We usually like to leave as much time as possible for the bride and groom to enjoy spending time with their guests after the ceremony. So after half an hour or so, with the champagne flowing and the canapés being enjoyed, we started the group photographs.
After these and a few relaxed portraits, while some guests enjoyed the garden games and croquet, it was time for dinner.
As usual The Fine Dining provided a delicious wedding breakfast. Following this and as the guests were enjoying a sip of the toast champagne, the speeches began.
A mixture of laughter and a bit of cringing featured in the speeches. Including an exposé about a certain person’s love for Sylvanian Families (hint: it’s not the bride!)
After cutting the cake it was time to hit the dance floor.
We stayed an extra hour and a half and brought along our photo booth props and backdrop! We had such a great time and we’re sure you’ll enjoy the photos below.
A huge thank you to Rosie and Pete for choosing us to be your Iscoyd Park wedding photographers. We loved every minute and it was lovely to see some familiar faces too.
