Merrydale Manor is a fabulous new wedding venue in the heart of Cheshire. Merrydale Manor is the latest exclusive wedding venue created by the Irlam family. The manor was extensively renovated last year to host wonderful weddings and events. Ananya & David’s wedding brought us to this stunning Cheshire wedding venue in Peover for the first time. We hope it certainly won’t be our last!
This English/Indian fusion wedding was the first of its kind at Merrydale Manor. We loved every moment capturing the two ceremonies , a civil ceremony and later the traditional Hindu ceremony, as well as the epic dance moves later in the evening!
Three outfit changes, two ceremonies, one perfect day! Here is Ananya & David’s wedding story.
Our morning began in the bridal suite inside the manor house. It was our pleasure to be working alongside the amazing The Dollz team with Sam Mercer herself and other lovely Dollz ladies. They were taking care of hair and make-up for all of the bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride and the beautiful Ananya. The gents were staying in the Cheval suite at the other side of Merrydale. Tobiah left Laura in charge of capturing the ladies getting ready while he went to photograph David and his groomsmen. As any bride, or any one in the wedding industry will testify, the morning of the wedding goes so quickly. Suddenly, time disappears as the ceremony time approaches and excitement builds!
The first of the two ceremonies in the Ceremony Room at Merrydale was a civil ceremony with readings from some friends and relatives. It was short but very sweet and afterwards, the bride and groom exited into the sunshine. After being covered in confetti by their guests, they enjoyed an afternoon tea style drinks reception. This featured lots of sweet treats and mini desserts served up by the Barretts team. Before the second ceremony was due to begin, Ananya & David both got changed into their traditional outfits for the Hindu ceremony.
The Ceremony Room had been transformed once again by the superb team at 1SW Events. Set up beautifully for the Hindu ceremony at Merrydale Manor to begin. David was in place on the stage as his bride entered with her proud uncle. The bridesmaids were carrying candles on their palms and Ananya followed tradition by covering her face with leaves as she walked down the aisle.
This lengthy but precious Hindu ceremony included so many interesting and meaningful aspects. It was fascinating to capture all of the different elements. Also, it was lovely to see the involvement of the bride and groom’s families in the Hindu wedding ceremony itself.
Once the Hindu ceremony was complete, the guests enjoyed more delicious canapes and champagne. Soon it was time to be seated in the Merrydale Suite for the wedding breakfast.
With a high-quality finish and magnificent chandelier and atmospheric lighting, the brand-new Merrydale Suite at Merrydale Manor certainly has the wow factor!
This stunning space was filled with all of their dear family and friends when Ananya & David were announced into their wedding breakfast by their charming toastmaster, Ken Hollett. They enjoyed speeches and more delicious food from Barretts.
Ananya’s father’s speech was particularly touching when mentioning how proud he was of his daughter and also his mother. She had travelled all the way from India at over 80 years old to celebrate her grand-daughter’s wedding. She certainly enjoyed herself too! Look out for the beautiful lady in a green sari right in the middle of the dance floor in the photos below!
The awesome Mike of DFC did a great job of keeping the dance floor packed as we captured one of our favourite parts of the day! By this point, all of the guests are used to us being around and really let their hair down. We love to weave between the Dad-dancers, jivers and epic Bhangra moves, snapping away as we go. Ananya’s grandmother was the winner of ‘Best Dancer’ for this wedding hands down!
We left with the biggest smiles and feeling very grateful for being chosen to capture such a magical and love-filled day; all put together by these two great people. Thank you Ananya & David for choosing us to photograph your Merrydale Manor wedding!
Please enjoy the photos below and another thank you to John Irlam & Shelley at Merrydale Manor for making us feel so welcome and Michelle at Barretts for feeding us!
We can’t wait to return soon for more great weddings!
