If like us you adore a wedding of two wonderful people with lots of little unique touches set in the beautiful English countryside, then you are going to LOVE Charles and Amelia’s wedding!
We had the privilege of photographing their garden party marquee wedding earlier this summer that was held at the bride’s aunt and uncle’s home, Barton Blount Hall.Spirits were certainly high as the sun was shining and there was minimal loss of balloons that were being thrown about in the breeze! We followed Amelia and her maids, who’d met us outside, into the stunning house where they were all getting ready together, all in rollers and the coolest oversized shirts.
Amelia, owner of Love the Lot boutique in Sheffield, has an impeccable sense of style and love of fashion. This could. so clearly be seen in her choice of bridesmaids dresses, maid of honour outfit – which has to be my all time favourite – and of course, her own blush pink wedding dress and accessories, including 2 fabulous pairs of Jimmy Choos!
Amelia had put together some personalised gift boxes for her maid of honour and bridesmaids filled with little essentials and a few luxuries for the day ahead. Each included a bracelet for each of her best girls with a diamond taken from a bracelet that Amelia has been given by her grandmother. She had had the bracelet adjusted to wear herself and chose to use the extra stones in such a touching way. Little things like this add up to make our lovely bride the thoughtful and generous person she is. We could see that so early on from meeting her and Charles last year and especially on her wedding day.
With the getting ready complete and after a little champagne, it was time to get married! Amelia and Charles chose to have a humanist ceremony which took place in the bijoux but beautiful chapel on the grounds of Barton Blount Hall. The ceremony was filled with laughter and the focus on family and commitment.
After the ceremony, guests spilled out onto the lawns and enjoyed music, canapés and champagne, all provided by the lovely Justin and Francine. We loved capturing guests chatting, laughing together and enjoying the sunshine. After a while, we took the bride and groom and their families for some group photographs before a couple of portraits of the newlyweds before being seated in the wedding breakfast.
After the speeches, dinner was served and dancing followed. One guest in particular was certainly getting his groove on (see if you can guess who it is from the photos here!)
Everyone had an awesome time and danced well into the night. We had great fun with our photo booth set up too and loved every minute of this garden party wedding!
Please enjoy some of our favourite moments from the day.
