Outdoor Garden Wedding Photography from a beautiful wedding in a
Cheshire Garden.
And so here we are on day 2 of Laura & Ayo’s two-day wedding celebrations!
The previous day we were photographing a small, intimate ceremony with 12 people followed by a dinner at Rookery Hall. Today, we’d ventured back to Laura’s family home where she and her sister had grown up for her and Ayo’s outdoor wedding ceremony and marquee reception in the beautiful gardens of her parents’ home.
We loved the contrast of the two days; the Friday wedding being so intimate, yet colourful – with Ayo & Laura wearing Nigerian wedding outfits. Then Saturday’s wedding celebrations having an outdoor country garden theme.
The lovely bride’s hair and make up was done by her very close friend and all round lovely lady, Carly Hobbs. What Carly doesn’t know about make up and beauty products alike, isn’t worth knowing! It was a pleasure to work alongside her and come away with a few top tips too!
Meanwhile, Tobiah was capturing the gents getting ready just across the driveway, just a safe enough distance for our bride and groom not to see each other before the ceremony!
The weather was extremely kind and continued to shine as Laura and her proud dad took another walk down a very different aisle, this time one lined with roses and flowers that her dad had meticulously looked after, towards Ayo.
A close friend of Ayo & Laura’s had been asked to conduct the ceremony which was lovely, personal touch. After readings, vows and some awesome music from Under The Covers duo, the ceremony was over and guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the glorious sunshine along with our bride and groom on the lawn.
We always like to leave our couples to enjoy the drinks reception for a good length of time as this part of the day is our favourite for capturing people laughing, joking, catching up with each other and just generally, being themselves.
After half an hour or so, we started the family photographs. Thanks again to Laura’s dad for providing such a stunning background for wedding photographs in their garden. The borders were full with so many amazing colours and variety.
Following some relaxed portraits of our bride and groom, it was time to go into the marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches. Dinner and dancing followed, with more great music from Under The Covers. Custom cocktails flowed (think Pinapple and Black Pepper Mojitos!) as guests danced the night away.
We took Laura and Ayo outside for a couple more photographs just in time to catch the sunset before we left for home.
We absolutely loved both days spent with truly lovely people and for feeling so welcome from the very first second everyone, with special thanks to Marion and Alan for their hospitality. We hope you enjoy look at some of our favourite moments from our selection of outdoor garden wedding photography.
