Hollie & Adam – Iscoyd Park
For Hollie & Adam’s Iscoyd Park wedding we headed to Shropshire one sunny day in May. Having a Skype meeting with them the week before we could tell that the day was going to be relaxed and fun. We were right!
Our day began with Hollie and her best friends, her sisters and lovely Mum getting ready in the Bridal Suite. Tobiah soon headed over to Adam and the groomsmen who were staying nearby at Carden Park. We love being a husband and wife wedding photography team as it allows us to split up (not literally!) to document both sides of the wedding morning. It dawned on me recently that this is the only part of the day the bride and groom aren’t together. The ceremony, speeches, first dance are experienced together. We’ve had so many lovely comments about how after the wedding these photos were really special for each side of the couple to see. Plus on the day itself, there’s usually an attempt from the girls to recruit Tobiah as spy and report back how many beers or whiskies the groomsmen have had. He never tells!
The Wedding Morning
Prepping the ladies throughout the morning was Rach Dutton on make-up and Stacey Briggs on hair. They did a great job and everyone looked even more radiant, especially the beautiful Hollie. Over at Carden Park, Adam and the gents were enjoying one for the road before heading to St. Mary’s at Whitewell, Shropshire. Hollie had bought her groom, Adam, some Mulberry cufflinks. A lovely keepsake to have of the day and very special. Back at Iscoyd Park, Adam’s very thoughtful gift had most people in tears! He had spent countless hours making a book of their relationship and every moment that had brought them to this day. The highs and the lows. It was amazing and something to certainly be cherished.
Jenny Packham Details
Hollie had chosen a stunning Jenny Packham wedding dress from one of Manchester’s best bridal shops, The White Closet. The attention to detail in every Jenny Packham gown is exquisite and this dress had it in spades. Before long it was time to put it on! With the help of her sister, Lauren, Hollie was ready.
Her dad, Mark, was keen to see his daughter before they walked down the aisle. Always an emotional moment! A few tears and hugs later everyone was ready to head to St. Mary’s.
The sun was shining as Hollie and her dad made their way down the aisle, streaming in through the windows. Hymns and readings, emotional parents and friends made up Hollie & Adam’s lovely ceremony. After a few portraits in the sunny, yellow field at the back of the church we made our way to Iscoyd Park.
Spring Weddings for the win!
The sun was shining for the drinks reception on the lawns at Iscoyd which added to the lovely atmosphere. We always love to photograph guests enjoying themselves, our couples relaxing with their friends and families. This allows us to capture people as they are. Of course, we took a few relaxed group photographs too before everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast.
Speeches & Dancing!
The stage was set! The stunning decor by Ewer Roberts – think English country elegance, delicious food from the in-house catering team and it was time for the speeches! Hollie’s lovely dad, Adam and the Best Men delivered three great speeches. Some of the tales from the Best Men were brilliant and the room erupted in laughter!
On to more fun but this time on the dance floor. Hollie and Adam had a custom track for their first dance, one that was very special to them. The end to another perfect day. We had such a great time with Hollie, Adam and their families. We hope you enjoy the photos!
