This was our first trip in a while across to Yorkshire and as always, it didn’t disappoint. We loved spending the day photographing Charlotte and Rob’s Halelwood Castle wedding and our morning began with the bride and her bridesmaids getting ready together.
Charlotte’s elegant lace wedding dress was bought after Rob very romantically booked her and her mum, Christine and appointment there to look at wedding dresses, it suited her perfectly!
Team Bride were spread out over two bedrooms being beautified by the excellent team that Charlotte had put together. Tobiah soon headed over to see the groom-to-be and his groomsmen and leaving Laura with the girls.
After everyone was ready, the bridesmaids in their dresses and the bride in her beautiful lace gown, it was time to make their way down for the ceremony.
Rob was eagerly waiting at the top of the aisle for his bride as she walked in with her mum. This was the first of two ceremonies on the day. After the vows and readings from the first ceremony of the day, Rob and Charlotte exited the castle to head into the chapel for a blessing. This was definitely one of the most energetic and alternative ceremonies we’ve photographed! Featuring bridesmaids dancing down the aisle, the bride and groom entering the chapel to Black Sabbath and a bubble machine showering them and the guests with hundreds of bubbles as they left the chapel.
Enjoying the drinks reception with guests, we left Rob and Charlotte to relax with their friends and family. This allows us to capture lots of natural photographs of guests being themselves rather than overly-posed photographs.
Before the wedding breakfast, it was time for the family photographs. While the guests were being seated in the Great Hall, we went for a little wander with Rob and Charlotte to take a few relaxed portraits. There are lots of different areas in the grounds of Hazlewood to use for wedding photographs as you can see below.
Dinner and speeches preceded the dancing and a laid-back evening as some of the guests enjoyed the summer evening looking out over the picturesque countryside surrounding the castle.
Thank you so much to this awesome couple for choosing us to photograph their Hazlewood Castle wedding. Enjoy the photographs!
