After a hectic build-up to the wedding, the big day was here! Planning, organising and snatching time while in the car to chat to us on the way to do different wedding jobs, had all led to today. A & L, together with their families, held their Nikah ceremonies and civil wedding at Grand Station in Wolverhampton.

Our bride was getting ready with her family and friends in the bridal suite as guests began to arrive and were welcomed to the event by Lamees’ lovely mum and her step-father. The team at Pumpkin Events had created a real impact in the huge space inside the Grand Hall.

As the final touches were completed and the guests were gathered in the entrance hall of Grand Station, the time had come for the groom to arrive. Before too long, once the final family members had arrived, he made his grand entrance.

The Nikah ceremonies for the bride and groom took place separately. Before the Imam made his way across to the bride, she waited with her bridesmaids. Soon after accepting, our beautiful bride made her way into the Grand Hall.

Some of our favourite traditions of the day included the groom being fed A LOT of potatoes and the emotional moment were Lamees said goodbye to her mum.

It was time for the guests to enjoy some delicious food before the rest of the afternoon got underway. Still to come where the civil ceremony and the family photographs.

We spied out earlier in the day some areas nearby that would work well for portraits of our couple so as to keep them enjoying time with their guests as much as possible. We always arrive early to new venues so we can see them on the day and have ideas in mind for those all important bride and groom portraits. From the photographs under the trees with the perfect light coming through the leaves, you wouldn’t know we were at the side of a railway bridge with a main road alongside us!

Back at Grand Station, it was time for the civil ceremony to begin. With a smaller amount of guests, the ceremony space felt intimate and extra special. After the register had been signed, it was time for some more food and photographs.

As the sun set on a magical day and moments before the bride and groom had to leave for Manchester airport on their mini-moon, we had set-up for a show stopper shot with sparklers and a little smoke for added drama. It was Bonfire Night after all!

Thank you so much to these two lovely people and your families for trusting us to capture your wonderful wedding day, we are looking forward to the future events with you all soon!
