Needless to say, we were thrilled to be chosen by Becky & Olly to photograph their Combermere Abbey wedding and be back at one of our favourite wedding venues.
Becky & Olly were married at St. Mary’s church in Sandbach and held their outdoor garden wedding reception in the maze and stunning gardens of Combermere Abbey.
Our day started at Heald Country House near Wrenbury in the Cheshire countryside. This is a lovely alternative place to stay, with a real home from home feel in a picturesque location.
The sun was shining, champagne corks being popped and cups of tea being sipped as the bride to be, her mum and maids were having their hair and make up perfected.
Tobiah soon left to catch up with our groom and his guys at the pub near to the church. He traveled over to Sandbach with Alex of 48 Frames videography and left Laura with the girls to finish capturing them getting ready together.
Becky and her dad traveled to the church in the coolest Citreon 2CV car! We loved it and it certainly turned heads as they pulled up to St. Mary’s!
As we arrived, the groomsmen were finishing off handing out the couple’s bespoke and super pretty orders of service. These had been created by one of our favourite suppliers, The Charming Press.
The ceremony featured readings by friends and caused our bride to shed a few tears. With the rings on fingers and promises made forever, it was time to head off to Combermere Abbey. Here, we were greeted by the ever fabulous Gary and after a few photographs with THAT car, Becky and Olly headed into the Glasshouse and maze for drinks and canapés, being showered by yet more confetti by their loved ones.
Before being called into the Pavilion for dinner, and a Peter a few family photographs, we took the newlyweds for some portraits around the Abbey’s stunning grounds.
We are always spoilt for choice at Combermere Abbey weddings as there are so many wonderful and unique areas to create timeless photographs. After dinner, speeches and “Wedding Bake Off” (complete with Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry masks for our bride and groom!), we spent a little more time with our couple and videographers, 48 Frames, down at the mere creating more beautiful photographs.
It was then time for the first dance and for guests to continue dancing the night away!
